The abstract of the legislation creating a Moscow Mountain State Park
and a resolution expressing the interest of the Legislature in
protecting the cedars is below including links to the full text.
Sometime in the next month there will be a hearing on both in the
Senate Resources and Environment Committee. Members of the committee
may be contacted by email, regular mail, phone or fax. Contact info
may be found at the link below by choosing "Senate Resources and
Environment".

Additionally, the Land Board heard a report from staff at their
monthly meeting yesterday. Winston Wiggins, IDL director, committed
the energy of his department to find a solution. The Governor called
it a "very special place." Wiggins called it a "treasure."
