Let Equality For All Be Proclaimed
by Bri Mar
In the cold light of day,
Though it may seem uncouth,
The minority hold sway,
Over the old and the youth,
The many have no say,
I'm afraid is the truth,
For that we should be ashamed.
Taxes taken at source,
It's called pay as you earn,
We shout ourselves hoarse,
Yet still we don't learn,
What it does reinforce,
Is our cash the rich yearn,
For problems they never get blamed.
The make the decisions,
Based on their need,
This causes divisions,
We perceive it as greed,
It will cause collisions,
But they don't take heed,
It's our fault, is what will be claimed.
A lifetime of leisure,
At our own expense,
A build up of treasure,
Does it show we are dense?
Paying for their pleasure,
Doesn't make any sense,
They own us, is what's then proclaimed.
As they fill up the vault,
With our hard-earned cash,
We refuse to accept fault,
No wonder they're flash,
All those you exalt,
Without us they'd crash,
Their extravagance will never be tamed.
This has gone on,
For thousands of years,
While we're overdrawn,
Their new wealth appears,
Let us seek that new dawn,
Be the new pioneers,
