[Vision2020] Same Subject: NASA May, 2013: Re: Carbon Dioxide Concentration in the Earth's Atmosphere Has Hit Levels Unseen for 3 Million Years

It is of course important to inform the public about the continuing
increasing CO2 levels in Earth's atmosphere, indicating that humanity is in
fact not solving the climate change crisis, despite the Paris Climate
Accords and other efforts.

But this Time Magazine report just issued is in fact not *exactly* a new
development, as anyone with cursory knowledge of the subject knows.

The Time report might give some the impression that the 415 ppm CO2
atmospheric level recently recorded is the first time CO2 has exceeded any
level in the past 3 million years.

But as you can read below, the 400 ppm CO2 level as indicated from 2013 in
this NASA article also indicates the 400 ppm level from 2013 had also not
been seen since the Pliocene 3-5 million years ago:

"Welcome to the Pliocene. That was the Earth about three to five million
years ago, very different to the Earth we inhabit now. But in at least one
respect it was rather similar. This is the last time that carbon dioxide (CO
2) levels were as high as they are today.

On May 9, 2013, CO2 levels in the air reached the level of 400 parts per
million (ppm). This is the first time in human history that this milestone
has been passed."
