Blotter Fodder: Kitten’s reign of terror over Lewiston neighborhood comes to end

A cat was reported “terrorizing” the neighborhood on the 1100 block of Grelle Avenue in Lewiston. The cat was captured and nicknamed Osama Kitten Laden.

A Lewiston man was worried he would get in trouble because his wife has a protection order against him, but she keeps coming to his home and “making love to him, playing with his heart.” The man informed police of this and was worried she would put him in jail for violating the protection order. Reports didn’t say if officers sent the man to the Nez Perce County heartbreak hotel for an involuntary stay behind its bars in North Lewiston.

A Lewiston woman was reported screaming that she couldn’t find her meth on the 1700 block of Seventh Avenue. Despite her yelling, no one else showed up saying you scream, I scream we all scream for methamphetamine.

A vehicle at a drive-through restaurant was reportedly refusing to leave. The driver was compelled to go, but he gave the clerks a takeout fake-out.

A pet billy goat was reported eating bird food from a porch on the 1200 block of Alder Avenue.

A Lewiston man saw a purse in a pond on the 800 block of Snake River Avenue and he pulled it ashore. The man found the purse was full of needles. Needless to say, the man did not want to pursue more found property.

A customer at a Main Street business in Lewiston handed a cashier a hand-drawn coupon. The clerk handed the obviously forged coupon back, but the customer refused to pay. Reports didn’t say what the coupon was for, just that the forger went to couponerous effort to make the fake.

A 911 caller reported a Lewiston resident was burning garbage in a fireplace, making the neighborhood smell awful.

A Lewiston resident was upset and called police on several neighbor dogs that keep coming over and eating her cat’s food.

A 911 caller reported a little girl at Airport Park in Lewiston was making other kids cry and wouldn’t allow them to go down a slide. Police counseled the girl to take turns and not commit crymes against her peers.

Two officers found a man passed out in a barn on the 1000 block of Benjamin Street in Clarkston. The owner told the officers the man had permission to sleep there.

A Clarkston resident arrived home one night this week to find an arrow protruding out of the ground about a foot away from his truck on the 1400 block of Sycamore Street. The resident spoke with his neighbors, whom he suspected as the errant archers. The man called 911 when the talk didn’t stop some children from playing with arrows in the yard again. Police told the kids to arroam away from the area.

A Moscow man called 911 asking if anything can be done about people being racist on Twitter. The man was informed about free speech being free, even if it’s hateful — or even if it’s used by a world leader to threaten nuclear war.

A 911 caller reported a truck was dragging a sofa behind it, and some kids were sitting on the couch. Moscow police could not locate the luge loungers.

A 911 caller reported several ducklings were trapped in a storm drain at Northeast Orchard Drive and Northeast Valley Road in Pullman. An officer responded, but citizens rescued the ducks from their mallardy before the officer arrived.
