Brief: Squirrel suspected of assault

Pullman Police received several reports Wednesday of an "overly aggressive squirrel" allegedly biting at peoples' shoes as they walked along the 2400 block of Northeast Hopkins Court.

Officer Emily Johns responded to the report of a vicious animal at approximately 4 p.m., but, according to the PPD's daily activity log, the squirrel "fled into hiding, presumably to plan his next mission."

The squirrel was reported to be average sized and white, brown and black.

After apprehending the squirrel, it was later reported by Sergeant Joe Friday . . .
