One of the first things I learned from these drill sergeants was that "infantry" is not the plural form of "infant", a misconception I lived with for fifteen years in Army administration.  I later learned that, before I reported in to Fort Benning, the unit drill sergeants flipped coins to see who would get the opportunity to "break-in" (train) the "admin puke" (me).
