PRESS RELEASE
Multi-Modal Transportation Plan Drop-In Community Open House
March 28, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) - The City of Moscow is holding its final opportunity for public input before Moscow on the Move, the City's long range multi-modal transportation plan, goes before City Council. Moscow on the Move will establish a twenty-year strategy that prioritizes short and long-term improvements to the citywide roadway network, pedestrian and bicycle environment, and local transit service. The City is hosting a Drop-in Community Open House to gather feedback on the Draft Plan.
Drop in to the Community Open House at the City Hall Council Chambers (206 East Third Street) any time between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 1st. This open house will inform community members on how the City is planning for growth, and will highlight the transportation investment priorities identified through the extensive public input process. You will have an opportunity to comment on the recommended projects, policies, and programs. The open house format is designed for you to stay as long as you would like.
The Community Open House will offer various informative displays providing an overview of the project and explaining the roadway, bicycle, pedestrian, and transit investment priorities recommended for Moscow. Community members can also voice their opinions on the Plan by engaging with public officials and the project team. All ideas are welcome!
For more information about participating in the open house, to view Draft Plan, the City's Transportation Fact Book, or to learn more about Moscow on the Move, visit the project website at http://www.ci.moscow.id.us/projects/moscowonthemove/ or visit the official Moscow on the Move Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/moscowonthemove.
