Ms. Ellmers is an easy target when she sounds so 1950's "girly", and the GOP is already justly accused of a "War on Women". Better no women are in office than the dingbats and idjits like this speak for women!! GAAAHHHKKK.

It is unfortunate that the Wing-Nut republicans have highjacked the Republican party, and are leading it down the path of no return. I (an avowed Liberal Democrat) have a lot of respect for fiscally responsible/business Republicans, though I seldom agree with them. I have zero respect for the TeaBaggers, the "Christian" Facists, and the willfuly stupid who oppose Pres. Obama because he is "that African Muslim". 

I am of the opinion that the US could do with a third party made up of all those who are sane and willing to face the fact that compromise and amity get things accomplished....
But I'm an optomist in a bleak pessimistic political landscape....

  Roger, Renee Ellmers is representative of a lot of Republican women in that she's tantamount to a fundy Christian against abortion and against homo marriages.  The only reason she's a topic here on the viz is because her sound bite grabbed Tom's short attention span.

  Of your list below, Condi Rice is the only true 'limited government' conservative being self described as 'mildly pro-choice'.

  IMO the GOP would better serve themselves and the general public by jettisoning the social conservatives who have always been and will continue to be on the wrong side of history.

  She is not representative of Republican women. There are plenty of highly intelligent Republican Women. To name a few- Nicki Hailey, Condy Rice, Susan Martinez and Mary Falin. All of which would make good presidential candidates.
