First, Mr. Falen, let me emphasize that the person resisting arrest, in this case, is UNARMED, ok?
Apprehend the perpetrator ALIVE. Call for assistance, if necessary. Worst case scenario for the police should be to apprehend, handcuff, and transport the living perpetrator to the police station.
