You now have proof those who end a sentence with is, are intellectually lazy, and I think you mentioned stupid, stubborn, and a few other descriptors.  Here’s the evidence:

Tea Party Congressman, Marlin Sutzman, R Indiana in response to why the shutdown.  “We are not going to be disrespected.  We have to get something out of this and I don’t even know what that is.”
