[Vision2020] The Cover of the Rolling Stone . . .

Tom,
I read the Rolling Stone article even though it was not the best use of my time. It just reads like a 'good kid gone bad' biography. Big whoop.
This quote in the article pretty much sums it all up for me:
'I knew this kid, and he was a good kid,' [wrestling coach Peter] Payack says, sadly. 'And, apparently, he's also a monster.'
For a guy like you who regularly beats your chest about your 1st Amendment right to post copious amounts of stuff here on the viz (even though you don't seem to grasp 1st Amendment protections all that well), I would expect that you would be against any censorship of Rolling Stone. Am I wrong about this...do you only want Rolling Stone to publish articles that you agree with?
It seems awfully narrow minded of you if so.
-Scott

Maybe I don't read that well. I could have sworn we were discussing the cover and not the article.

My comment had absolutely nothing to do with the cover photo, Mr. Rumelhart, but the content of the article . . .which I read prior to posting my comment; a concept you might consider adopting.
But, I will say one thing for you. By comparison, you make Mr. Dredge appear to be a scholar.
'Nuff said.

No idea. I haven't read Rolling Stone for years. Not since that famous issue with Janet Jackson on the cover.
If they were in fact discussing flying elephants in
the article instead of the guy pictured on the cover, then I retract my statement.

And what did the article say about the bomber, Mr. Rumelhart?

The article was about the bomber. What should the cover have shown? A flying elephant?

What a difference a month makes Tom.
You've gone from a selfish position of 'It's not like I will ever run in the Boston Marathon'
http://mailman.fsr.com/pipermail/vision2020/2013-June/091143.html
to having at least some compassion that 'People were killed. People were maimed for years to come. Families destroyed.'
Good man. That shows huge growth in a short time. :)

. . . Is WAAAAY beyond lame and sick!

I have been a Rolling Stone Subscriber
for over 20 years. Today, after viewing the cover and reading the accompanying article that glorifies and romanticizes the Boston Marathon, I telephoned its subscription services and, after my tirade, cancelled my subscription and suggested where they can place my remaining issues.
People were killed. People were maimed for years to come. Families destroyed.
And the ignorance, non-feeling scum at Rolling Stone magazine has the genitalia to portray this killer as having a rough childhood, whose life has become the property of radical Islam.
EFF THEM!!!
This upsets me beyond words.
