The funny thing is that we are now relieved to have gas at ~3.60/gal. Just a few years ago we'd have been outraged.
Gas prices were relatively flat until we invaded Iraq, so there certainly is a healthy dose of blame we can send Bush's way, but using two data points to try to make a political statement like that is disingenuous.
