[Vision2020] Atheism to Defeat Religion By 2038?

Not a very coherent thought. I believe in many (false) Gods. So his statement would not be one of an atheist. "Why" implies intent. There is no "intent" if there is no intelligence behind the event, it is just an event that occurred by nature. No human is intelligent enough to understand every process leading to any singular event in nature. Which means every person knows nothing for certain. So a declaration, "There is not God." or rather, "There is no god.",  by someone that knows nothing is rather meaningless unless that statement is that he knows nothing for certain. 
 
Dismissal of the existence of my God, and even empirical evidence that He does not exist, doesn't definitively preclude an absence of all Gods. 
 
So I content, that atheism is nothing more than an illogical and emotional response given by an individual who has not been yet provided empirical evidence of the existence of a divine being.
