I second that. Tom Hansen is very committed to the community. He would no doubt do a good job promoting the local economy and businesses.
-------And I am sure the group would get more than the generous $100 a month investment back from him. Although I think he should keep it to cover his expenses of nicer clothing when representing the group, equipment, poster, fliers, website maintenance, fuel, and communication costs of his new volunteer position.

Some people have a price tag on their community service, Bill. Idon't.
I am considering applying for this position and donating the $100/month pay to the 1912 Center.
However, my resume' "expired" back in August '08 when I was laid off from UI Facilities.
But then, maybe . . .
Whatcha think, Bill?
Seeya round town, Moscow.

However, I do know that when I was coordinator, I thought the money was secondary to the importance of the group’s growth and impact. It was a great job and very rewarding in many ways.

>Bill,
>Are you sure that you have the pay correctly? I'm not that good in math, but at 15 hours a month, the job pays $6.67 and hour, and for a 20 hour month it pays $5.00 an hour.
>Since the state minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, is this even a serious offer?
>And if it is, what kind of Coordinator for Buy Local Moscow are we going to get for under minimum wage? What kind of signal does this offer even send to the community?
