Greetings Visionaires -
On Friday (December 7th) I emailed the Moscow City Council, and posted here on the Viz, concerning the council's lack of willingness to adopt a non-discrimination resolution (based on sexual preference and/or gender identification), city ordinances that have been enacted in Sandpoint, Pocatello, and (just recently) Boise.

Within this email I made reference to the city council's willingness, without hesitation, to enact a cell-phone stipend, compensating city officials for use of personal cell-phones.
Shortly after sending that email I received an off-list response from Moscow City Council member Walter Steed suggesting that I contact him by telephone, that he is willing to discuss the cell-phone matter.
After my response to Mr.Steed, detailing how the Moscow City Council had violated city ordinance (by failing to obtain "aye" votes from a majority of the members present), he reiterated his offer for me to contact him by phone; to which I responded that I had contacted the state attorney general's office back in November 2010 and that they (the state AG's office) suggested that I contact Mr. Riedner, Moscow's City Supervisor . . . (who strongly supported the stipend). I further suggested to Mr. Steed that I prefer transparency and open discussion . . . to put it simply, as I informed Mr. Steed, "I don't dance."
FYI: The final vote by the Moscow City Council . . . 3 ayes, 2 nays, 1 abstention (Dan Carscallen, who was present)
So, V-Peeps, reposted (as it was back in November 2010) for your review and analysis . . .
