[Vision2020] Award Well-Deserved

The Nazis didn't follow the law when executing their duties as a solider. The Nazi solider was not following higher orders and oath as a solider to never follow illegal direction to slaughter his own people by the millions without cause or trial, violate international law, and purposefully insight war, destruction and death upon his country and its people.

The truck drivers followed all laws, local, state, federal and international. They were doing their jobs, following legal orders and following the law. They committed no act against which society as a majority disagreed with legal authority.

The difference is that the words of the Nazis were false and had deadly consequences, and the words of the truck driver were true and had no deadly consequences, an important distinction.

This is totally misguided, Paul. Maybe you're right that there is a difference between the two. That doesn't make the truck driver's excuse that he's "just doing my job" any more valid. It is still a A BAD excuse on his part; the analogy shows that. Doesn't work for the Nazi guard, doesn't work for the truck driver. It is a bad excuse. Sorry. Joe
