Post Falls Senior Center to begin selling wine and beer
POST FALLS, Idaho--A North Idaho senior center is turning to adult drinks as a solution to prevent some programs from drying up.
On Tuesday the Post Falls City Council approved an alcohol license for the Post Falls Senior Center.
Staff at the facility says it will help seniors in the area get what they need because money for certain programs isn’t easy to come by.
Last year the center was devastated by a flood after the sprinklers went off. Now that its been remodeled they’ve been able to host events, but guests have expressed the desire for alcohol.
Staff at the senior center decided to apply for a beer and wine license to raise more money. They hope adult beverages will bring more events like weddings, birthdays and fundraisers to the facility.
The executive director says she expects event bookings to at least double now that they have the license.

Question for the Moscow Senior Center: How soon do you anticipate applying for a beer and wine license? I ain't gettin' no younger, ya know.
Seeya round town, Moscow.
