[Vision2020] Am I the Only One that Finds This Distasteful?

A simple matter of respect would demand that this block party celebration be rescheduled

Perhaps previous block parties may have been celebrated on 9/11, maybe not. Good God, Mr. Rumelhart, this is the ten-year anniversary of a catastrophe that took 3,000+ lives. Didn't NuArt Theater management even give a passing thought to the heartless connotation of a block party on the catastrophe's tenth anniversary? Or was the money simply too good to pass up?

I ask, Mr. Rumelhart . . .

Would your response be the same if, instead of a Christian venue, it were a Muslim mosque sponsoring this rock party?

The response of "Others are doing it," doesn't hold water. However, if you must stand by that defense . . .

What other organizations in Moscow are sponsoring block parties on Sunday?

Seeya round town, Moscow.

"When all is said and done, have you done or said enough? Have you just gone along for the ride, or have you steered destiny's hotrod? When you leave this world, did you make it any better than it was when you arrived? All you need is all you've got: your wits and the clothes on your back. Your epitaph is yours to earn. Your legacy is yours to make."
