City Tree Commission to host free tree care workshops
September 2, 2011 (Moscow, Idaho) - The City of Moscow Tree Commission is presenting two Fall Tree Care Workshops, free to the community. Both workshops will be held at the 1912 Center, 412 East Third Street, Moscow, Idaho.
Pruning - Wednesday, September 7, 2011, 7 - 8:30 p.m.
Learn about small tree training, large tree care, proper cuts, why/when to prune, what to do and not do when pruning, and tools to use.
Planting - Wednesday, September 21, 2011, 7 - 8:30 p.m.
Find out about tree selection at the nursery, how to match the tree with the site, what to do and not do when planting, and after care.
Seating is limited. Please call the City of Moscow Parks and Recreation office at 208-883-7085 to reserve your seat or for more information. Workshops are taught by arborists with certification from the International Society of Arboriculture.
