I have recorded both days of testimony that took place before the House
State Affairs Committee.
If interested, I will edit out those portions concerning the Moscow incident.
The testimony, referred to by Lynn McCollough), was presented by a UI
professor who also claimed to have been a long-time member of the San Luis
Obispo (California) Police Department and life member of the NRA. He went
on to strongly encourage passage of House Bill 222.
There was also another interesting item of testimony related to the Boise
State campus. It seems that there are transients that spend a
considerable amount of time on the BSU campus. I don't recall if it was
said whether or not these transients "live" on the BSU campus or not. The
person presenting the testimony went on to state that many of these
transients are mentally imbalanced and armed and, as such, the students
should be permitted to carry firearms on campus for protection.
Thoughts?
