No, and when I read the posting from his Facebook I was wondering just what
he meant by the words, "the other side." I was going to respond on the Viz,
but that wasn't where his posting originally was, so I didn't. Young's
comment that he isn't pointing at Shirley or the Democrats is appreciated.
Of course his former opponent is doing a very good job of doing just that,
as he did in today's DN. But that's not to say it goes back to Ike. I
simply cannot imagine who is sending this stuff. Not having seen this ad, I
can't comment on it, but straightforward advertising helps all voters.
There are enough legitimate differences between candidates, particularly
Shirley and Ike and Dan and Gresham, that should make it very easy for
serious voters to come to a decision.

Inflammatory mailers target House candidate Young
Idaho House of Representatives candidate for Position B Isaac "Ike" Young
has turned in inflammatory mailers sent to residents of Latah County over
the weekend to the Latah County Sheriff's Office this morning.
Young said two members of his church informed him they received the orange
tri-fold mailer, but isn't sure how many people may have received the
letter.
He said he didn't receive one in the mail himself.
"As far as I'm concerned, there's enough evidence to give the feel that
it's from the same person or group of persons that did the Gresham Bouma
postcards," Young said. "There's too many similarities."
He said he did not believe his opponent, Rep. Shirley Ringo, or the Latah
County Democratic Party is involved.
Latah County Lt. Brannon Jordan said because the office took the initial
report today, the complaint is in the "very initial stages of
investigation."
The report has been turned over to the sheriff's office's investigation
division and will be discussed with the Latah County prosecutor today,
Jordan said.

Has anybody, here on the Viz, received one of these letters?
