Horizon Air plans three new college logo planes

Horizon Air plans to launch Bombardier Q400 turboprops sporting the colors
and logos of the University of Idaho, the University of Montana and Montana
State University, the Seattle-based airline announced Monday.

Starting in 2008, Horizon has launched Q400s with the colors and logos of
Boise State University, Oregon State University, the University of Oregon, the
University of Washington and Washington State University.

"In the nearly 25 years I have been with Horizon, I can think of nothing that
has generated as much excitement among our customers as our university-themed
aircraft," Dan Russo, Horizon's vice president of marketing and
communications, said in a news release. "Now, with the University of Idaho and
Montana's largest public universities joining our fleet, we look forward to
thrilling even more school fans."

Horizon will start painting the planes, which were scheduled for repainting
anyway, in early November. The airline plans to unveil the University of Idaho
plane at Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport on Nov. 10, the University of Montana
plane at Missoula International Airport/Johnson-Bell Field on Nov. 19 and the
Montana State University plane at Gallatin Field in Bozeman on Nov. 30.
