AGENDA
CITY OF MOSCOW
ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE
Monday, February 8, 2010
3:00 p.m.
CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS
206 East 3rd Street, Second Floor
1. Approval of Minutes January 25, 2010 - Stephanie Kalasz
2. Third Street Gallery Show Openings Alcohol Request - Dwight
Curtis/Kathleen Burns
The City Arts Commission/Arts Department is requesting authorization to
serve beer/wine at their Third Street Gallery show openings. The Third
Street Gallery is operated by the City Arts Department with support from
the Arts Commission and is located in the public common areas of City
Hall. Alcohol has not previously been served in City Hall. If
approved, alcohol will only be allowed on the 2nd and 3rd floors from
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Signage indicating where the alcohol is allowed
in the building will be located on the stairs and at the elevator.
Because of the low-keyed nature of art gallery openings, the Police
Chief is supportive of not requiring police officers on site during the
show. The licensed vendor is responsible for checking IDs for age
before serving alcohol.
ACTION: Recommend approval of the Resolution to serve beer/wine at the
Third Street Gallery show openings or take such other action deemed
appropriate.
3. Proposed Meeting Cancellation Ordinance - Randy Fife
The Council recently amended Title 2, Chapter 2 to establish a regular
meeting on the first and third Monday of each month. Because of the
increase in regular meetings, it is suggested that the Council make
explicit its authority to cancel a regular or special meeting under
certain conditions.
ACTION: Recommend approval of the Ordinance; or recommend denial of the
Ordinance; or take such other action deemed appropriate.
4. Proposed Day Care Ordinance Changes - Randy Fife/Keli
Jones/Stephanie Kalasz
Recent changes made to the Idaho Day Care Statute resulted in changes to
City Code (which must remain at least as restrictive as the State
Statute). Adjustments to the City Code are recommended to fix a
numbering problem and allow appeals in certain instances.
ACTION: Recommend approval of the Ordinance or take such other action
deemed appropriate.
Reports
Day Care Report - Keli Jones/Stephanie Kalasz
Ice Rink Report - Dwight Curtis/Bryan Hahn
Southeast Industrial Park Project - Bill Belknap
Legacy Crossing Overlay - Bill Belknap
Proposed Council Vacancy Statute - Randy Fife
