Free Public Activities at the Moscow Food Co-op in January

The Moscow Food Co-op welcomes photographer Margaret Ely who will display her work in the Co-op’s deli gallery. The opening reception is 5:30 – 7 p.m., Friday, January 8, and the show runs through February 10. The stunning photographs show the beautiful intricacy of flowers.
The Co-op is located at 121 East Fifth Street in downtown Moscow.

Music
The Moscow Food Co-op’s Tuesday Night Music Series concerts are held every Tuesday from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. featuring some of the best musicians on the Palouse. The free concerts also coincide with weekly specials and hot entries made fresh in the Co-op's Deli

January 11: Musaiique, Moscow, Idaho, jazz, bossa nova, swing and blues
January 18: Greg Hodapp, Moscow, Idaho, acoustic multi-instrumental tunes in Celtic, old-time, and maritime styles.
January 25: Natalie Rose, Moscow, Idaho, silky smooth jazz, blues, and soul vocals and piano.
Co-op Kids!
Children and their caregivers are welcome for the following Co-op Kids activities. Co-op Kids meets weekly and all events are all free, with snacks and materials donated by the Moscow Food Co-op.
9 a.m., Tuesday, January 4: Meet at the Moscow Food Co-op Café to make felt crafts.
9 a.m., Tuesday, January 11: Meet at the Moscow Food Co-op Café to make bubble bath.
9 a.m., Tuesday, January 18: Meet at the Moscow Food Co-op Café to make a parfait.
9 a.m., Tuesday, January 25: Meet at the Moscow Food Co-op Café to make play dough.

Co-op Mamas and Papas Group
The Co-op Mamas and Papas group for expecting parents and parents of newborns meets each Wednesday at 9:30 – 11 a.m. in the Co-op Deli. In January, meet for conversation and informal talks by experienced parents and experts. Complementary beverages will be provided. Those interested in receiving notifications about speakers and special coupons can sign up for our email list by sending a message to babies at moscowfood.coop.
Co-op’s Good Food Book Club in January
The Co-op’s Good Food Book Club will meet Monday, January 24 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at a private residence (email bookclub at moscowfood.coop for directions) to discuss “A Sand County Almanac” by Aldo Leopold. “A Sand County Almanac” is available at BookPeople on Main Street in Moscow. Co-op Book Club members receive a 20 percent discount.
On February 6, the Good Food Book Club will begin the Northwest Earth Institute's "Menu for the Future" discussion course. The group will meet Sundays every other week (February 6, February 20 and March 6) from 5-7:30 p.m. and will include a potluck dinner. Space is limited to 12, email bookclub at moscowfood.coop to reserve a spot.
