Yikes! Carl, does this mean I can't pretend to be *only* middle-aged
anymore? That I have to 'fess up to being a golden oldie? And here I thought
I had at least another 15-20 years before sliding off into  old-age
decrepitude. Oh woe!

Just read of the passing of Mitch Miller at the age of 99.  One of the solid
pillars of my childhood memories was gathering with the family and watching
his TV show, following the bouncing ball, not to mention listening to a few
"Sing Along with Mitch" vinyl albums.  I have to confess I didn't even
realize he was still alive.  If you can remember the show or the albums,
that means.....you are really, really, old......
