Greetings Visionaires -

Remember back on April 20, 2009 when our city council generously voted to
provide $2,500 each to council members Walter Steed and Wayne Krauss to
assist in paying legal expenses related to a public records request
submitted by Wayne Fox?

In case your memory has faded . . .

And to provide a false sense of fairness and transparency, our city
council split the agenda item into two separate actions. Walter Steed
could not vote on the action related to him, but he could vote on the
action related to Wayne Krauss . . . and vice-versa.

Well, as if that wasn't enough, the Administrative Committee is going to
discuss this issue again on Tuesday . . .

3. Proposed Resolution for Legal Representation related to City Business
– Gary J. Riedner

Recent events resulted in a review of the current Resolution No. 83-20
regarding legal representation for elected officials and City employees
who are subject of litigation. The current policy does not cover those
elected officials or employees who are subject to pre-litigation
activities, legal claims, or civil legal actions which are not covered by
City sponsored insurance or other related programs meant to provide
appropriate coverage for them. Attached is a first draft of a potential
Resolution regarding those matters.

ACTION: Consider the draft Resolution and give recommendations, or take
other action as appropriate.
