The following U.S. service member died while supporting combat operations in Iraq, confirmed by the Defense Department from March 13, 2009 through March 19, 2009:
 
Army Spc. Gary L. Moore, 25, of Del City, Oklahoma; assigned to the 978th Military Police Company, 93rd Military Police Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas.

March 19, 2003 – March 19, 2009 
Killed: 4,249; wounded in action: 31,131

Marine Lance Cpl. Daniel J. Geary, 22, of Rome, New York; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
 
Army Pfc. Adam J. Hardt, 19, of Avondale, Arizona; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York.
