You convinced me. We should declare war on all wire coat hangers. Every leisure suit and pair of bell bottoms in the back of every baby boomers closet will be looking for a new place to hang from.

No, silly!  In fact, you're right on target with your sarcasm.  In the documentary, you see her performing on the catwalk in the process of bleeding to death by coat hanger abortion.  She screams, then splatters the blood onto the billboard that just happens to form the shape of a heart.  Not sure if this is my own interpretation, like an ink blotter test?  Maybe you see something different?

 

Either way, it's a graphic & compelling argument for one benefit of being pro-choice vs. pro-backalley abortion.  Where else do you see a live-action billboard but in an impromtu performance high above the streets of New York?  Suppose the billboard company would have rented him the space to make his statement?  We do have free speech, right?

His take is that coorporations should not have the same freedom of speech as individuals because they hold a monopoly on what we are exposed to.  They can get away with bold faced lies with no question about their claims and there is no equal outlet for a common man to rebut those claims. When a private individual contacts a billboard company and inquires about advertising a campaign against McD's and McD's is a major advertiser with the billboard company, they will refuse to let you pay to speak your mind in the same way, then true freedom of speech is restricted.

 

Just check his Joe Camel and McD's hijacked billboards at his website or watch the movie "Popaganda".  He's a legitimate painter now, wife was tired of his arrests.
