PRESS RELEASE
June 16, 2009
On Tuesday morning, June 16th, 2009 the Moscow Police Department
responded to three separate residential burglaries in the south part of
the City. These burglaries occurred shortly after midnight on June
16th. The suspect(s) entered through unlocked doors while the residents
were home and took small personal items in plain view. The suspect(s)
then left without being seen or heard.
The burglaries occurred in the 1600 block of Lenter, 2000 block of
Willow View Place, and in the 2300 block of Sweet. Two vehicle prowls
in the 400 block of Boyde are also believed to be related to these
break-ins.
After the burglary on Sweet, the suspect(s) stole a 1998 Dodge Caravan
which belongs to the victim of the burglary. The mini-van is described
as being dark green in color, with a cracked rear taillight on the
driver's side, minor damage on the rear right bumper and a Colgate
University sticker on the middle driver's side window. The license
plate number on the mini-van is 1L99784 through Idaho.
Anyone with information on these crimes or observed suspicious activity
during the early morning hours of June 16th is asked to call the Moscow
