Time: 12-1pm
What: ICA Public Art Presentation: Gerri Sayler

As the North Central Region Public Art Advisor for the Idaho Commission
on the Arts, Gerri Sayler is part of a statewide grassroots effort to
help promote understanding about the value of art in public places.
During a one-hour lunch presentation, she will present a short video
that presents ways of envisioning public art as a strategic component
for achieving long-term community goals and a heightened sense of
cultural identity. She will present a power point of images showing how
other Idaho communities have integrated public art into planning for
economic development, transportation, education, recreation and tourism.
In addition, she will make available a CD of the ICA Public Arts
Toolkit, which includes a wealth of information for advocates, planners
and managers, who are interested in making public art, happen.
