Ayers did not advocate killing people. Contrary, he attempted to stop the killing of US Troops and Vietnamese overseas.

I don't excuse what Liddy did. What he did was criminal and he deserved to
go to jail, however he did not blow up buildings and advocate killing people.
There is a slight difference here.
