Chas says we've had Native American Indian Heritage Month EVERY year since 1994. However, this is the first I've heard of it. Of course that doesn't mean it hasn't happened every November. . . it just means it isn't very high on people's priorities and that's too bad. You'd think that in the past 17 years it would get a little publicity in the media. Hopefully next November someone will remember.

ChasThanks for looking this up and presenting it...however - problem is it looks like it was JUST for Nov 2007 and never again. Is that the way you read it? And I certainly have not heard a single word that publicizes it like they do the Black History Month. Comments welcomed.J :]> Date: Tue, 15 Jan 2008 23:05:52 -0800> From: chasuk at gmail.com> To: privatejf32 at hotmail.com> CC: vision2020 at moscow.com> Subject: Re: [Vision2020] Black History Month> > On Jan 15, 2008 7:35 PM, J Ford <privatejf32 at hotmail.com> wrote:> > > Again, and very loudly this time, I ask why is it we do not have a "Native> > American Month" to celebrate their contribution to this county's development> > and growth?> > Answer: We have apparently had an American Indian Heritage Month> every year since 1994, originally being designated by President George> H.
