And they're leather, too!  I'm just not hippie enough, I guess.  But, heck -- I wore Birks before they were cool.  Because if they were cool, I wouldn't have been wearing them back in 1978.  That was the year I wore a three-piece burgundy polyester pantsuit on my senior trip to Disneyland.  Trust me when I say that "cool" wasn't even on the radar for me . . .

    That's because most every guy knows better than to 
    make comments similar this one. We don't want to have to listen to all 
    the endless shrill screeching about misogyny, patriarchy, and 
    hate. (it makes it hard to hear the TV) We also don't like to 
    see our little filly's cry and stamp their itty bitty 
feet.
