[Vision2020] Moscow Chamber: Artists Needed!

The Moscow Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Moscow Arts
Commission, seeks artists to participate in the first annual Chalk of
the Town art festival on September 6, in conjunction with the downtown
Oktoberfest.

Event chair Tim Hillebrand seeks artists for creating chalk art on
Main Street. Artists can be professionals, amateurs, and students of
all ages. Teachers are invited to enter teams of students. Squares
will be available in the following sizes: 2' x 2', 2' x 4', 4' x 4',
4' x 6', 4' x 8' and 4' x 6', 4' x 8' in vertical format. The Chamber
will supply chalk for the event.

Street painting with chalk is an honored artistic tradition since
renaissance times outside churches in Italy when the Madonna would be
honored for wishes granted.

For selected artists, there is an honorarium ranging from $50.00 to
$250.00. Artists not selected for an honorarium can also participate,
and will receive recognition in the form of participation
certificates.
