PRESS RELEASE

 

 

 

Recently, it has come to the attention of the Moscow Police Department
that some people may be wiping off the chalk marks on vehicle tires.
These chalk marks are placed on vehicles by the Moscow Police Department
Parking Enforcement Officers.  The chalk marks help parking enforcement
regulate the time a vehicle has been parked as stated in the Moscow City
Code.  

 

If anyone wipes off the chalk mark on a vehicle to avoid enforcement
they may be charged with a misdemeanor under Idaho Code 18-2603,
"Destruction, Alteration or Concealment of Evidence."
