[Vision2020] Words Bring Pause

Representative Trail, in another thread, stated:
"Supporters of the measure also say that states that have passed legislation
to make English the official language can demonstrate this helps promote
faster learning of English among those who are not fluent in its usage."
Perhaps designating English as Idaho's official language has managed to open
another door of opportunity.
Since English is now the "official" language of Idaho, shouldn't we demand
that our state government subsidize ESL (English as a Second Language]
courses throughout the state?
It is only right. If our state government is going to mandate that
everybody speak English by legislating it as the "official" language, a
system to learn the language must be made available.
