"Poets" and/or "Authors" has always been one of my failings.
But then, the name of the author (or his national origin) was not so much
the purpose of my posting the poem as much as it was the message it carried,
was it?
However, may I suggest something non-fictional to add to your library:
"Heart of a Soldier" by James B. Stewart.
Seeya round town, Moscow.

"We're a town of about 23,000 with 10,000 college students. The college
students are not very active in local elections (thank goodness!)."

Not to put too fine a point on things but, Kipling was born in Bombay and
was a citizen of the British Empire. Not one of "our great authors." That
said I do agree that much of his work was outstanding. If a young man has
not been given at a minimum The Jungle Book and Kim to read by the time he's
twelve his education and recreation is not being properly overseen.
