Did you really say "I urge the youth at WSU to look into disciplines that have
less potential for damaging their thought process"? Don't you think that
thoughtless statements like this about my JOB and livelihood are
irresponsible in this venue? Isn't this going too far?
I remember when I had a similar opportunity to make comments that might
impact your way of making a living and I passed.

Actually I agree with Mr. Schwaller. I too, would be surprised if people in that arena didn't use their power to influence those "beneath" them in a negative way. I think that it's a bad thing and as near as I can tell Mr. Schwaller is expressing no opinion either way, merely making a statement. I see no indication that he thinks it's swell because it's a common practice.
Is this an example of the sort of logic you are offering to inflict on me in a class setting? If so, not only do I decline your generous offer but I urge the youth at WSU to look into disciplines that have less potential for damaging their thought process.
