First of all, the laws you're discussing actually do protect white
dudes, protestants, et cetera. Even under affirmative action laws,
there have been a couple cases (virtually all in Hawaii) where white
dudes have gotten relief for racial discriminations. The reason you
don't see white dudes getting relief under these laws, however, is
quite similar to the reason you don't see CEOs getting picked up on
vagrancy charegs.
