I have been on the side of GENUINE compassion for years.  You haven't a clue 
as to my position.  My children frequently return from school using the 
presently popular epithet "gay", which is used constantly by kids around 
their age to describe virtually anything or anyone they find unpleasant or 
uncool.  I have REPEATEDLY admonished them not to use that term in that 
manner.  I recall telling them several times that gays are children of God 
also.

The next time you want to pigeonhole someone as a bigot, have another crack 
at me.  You'll feel perversely better and I can take it.
