RE: Custodial Interference Arrest

 

On 10/18/2006 at 18:17, the Latah County Sheriff's Office received a report
from a woman in Genesee alleging that her boyfriend had taken their 6-month
old daughter. A witness saw Bobby L. Harris, a 29 year-old Genesee man,
leave the residence along with two other people at about 09:00 that morning.
According to the reporting party, Bobby took his computer, computer desk,
the baby's clothes, and the car seat.  The woman suspected Bobby had been
picked up by family members living in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

 

According to the woman, Bobby is unemployed and spends days watching their
daughter while she is at work.  She said they had been having problems
stemming from this situation and since the baby was diagnosed with a heart
condition which requires fairly extensive medical attention.  The woman also
found emails between Bobby and a woman advising Bobby to take the child and
leave.

 

Deputies contacted Cottage Grove authorities who located a vehicle matching
the description of the one that the witness said Bobby left in earlier in
the morning.  A warrant was secured for Bobby's arrest for Custodial
Interference (Idaho Code 18-4506, a felony carrying up to 5 years and/or
$50,000).  At 06:19, Cottage Grove authorities advised that Bobby L. Harris
was in custody.
