My goodness, some people are touchy! Keely, Sue and I presented some  
facts about the late John Wenders that show that he was not the simon- 
pure libertarian that he pretended to be. He was in fact a hypocrite  
who railed against public education at the same time as he was  
screwing the taxpayers of Idaho out of tens of thousands of dollars  
in a dubious pension deal with the University of Idaho. He certainly  
loved "government schools" when the money went into his pocket. So  
please cut the crocodile tears and the hypocrisy.

At no time did his critics claim that he should have been put to  
death, so to speak, for his behavior. But it seems that some people  
are so much in love with capital punishment that they attribute such  
feelings to others as well. I can only speak for myself, but I am  
totally opposed to the death penalty.

It is too bad that John Wenders, unlike Ebenezer Scrooge, whom he so  
much resembled, can no longer have a change of heart and redeem  
himself before it is too late.
