Dontcha understand, Saundra? If you don't attend the sessions, you simply
are not interested in understanding the political and/or governmental
mechanism that drives the town of Moscow. If you do attend most, if not
every, session of the city council and the various commissions, you are (as
"they" say) "normally busy-body, complaint-driven nags".
As for me, I am simply too proud to be just another intolerista liberal
elitista diversity-cleansing wacko nutjob loose in the Palouse doing what
comes natural.
Take care, Moscow.

Well, isn't this interesting:
"While it's a good thing that people on our side are not normally busy-body,
complaint-driven nags who attend every committee and city council meeting,
now is a crucial time for us to respectfully let our concerns be heard."
Silly me . . . here I was thinking that democracy was a participatory
process and that civic involvement was a good thing.
And, what does Jerry Owen's quote say about the volunteers who make up those
committees, not to mention all the other civic volunteers who give
selflessly of their time to make our community a vibrant one?
And, I can't help but wonder to what "side" Jerry Owen is referring? Would
that be the side that thinks "secular" laws don't apply to them???
