Below is a "Blog" from Doug Wilson:

Murder and Folly in Atlanta
Topic: Current Events

The courtroom shooting in Atlanta has served to illustrate, as though we
needed another illustration of it, the mind-numbing stubbornness of the
current PC codes. The murders of the judge and two others occurred, along
with an apparent fourth victim later, because a large, muscular defendant
was escorted to court, guarded by a female sherriff's deputy. He overpowered
her, took her gun, shot the victims, and took off. What is astounding in all
this is the defense of the policy after the fact. (And, no, I am not
maintaining that no male guard has ever been overpowered by a prisoner,
etc.) What I am saying -- and simply look at the fact that I have to argue
for this position! -- is that size and strength matters in a job like law
enforcement. Further, though I don't want to go out on a limb here, size and
strength have been noticed by some cutting edge researchers to have some
sort of corrolation with sex. But the law enforcement establishment down in
Atlanta is solemnly maintaining that whether an enforcement officer is male
or female has absolutely nothing to do with whether they can do their job.
And what this means that though the murderer is directly responsible for
these deaths, he is not the only one who bears responsibility. Hatred kills.
But so does folly.

This is the type of tripe he forces his church to believe in - women can not
do what a man does simply due to her being "smaller" or not as big as a man
apparently is presumed to be. This, without even seeing who this woman is
or just how she does compare to Nichols in size, weight, ability, etc. Fact
is, he overpowered her in an elevator - something he seems to have been
planning for a while as he knew exactly what to do and when to do it. I
suspect it would not have mattered what gender the guard was - it would have
happened.

I just read the CNN report of the capture of this guy - the picture with the
article clearly shows a WOMAN deputy escorting him away, along with other
deputys around. It is very clear she is just as tall as Nichols and seems
not only comfortable about handling him, but seems to have the confidence of
her fellow enforcement officers with her.

The officer that Nichols overpowered is lying in a hospital in critical
condition, with a bruised brain, cracked skull and various other injuries.
Do you see anywhere in Doug's tirade where he wishes her well or that he is
concerned with her health? How commpassionate can he be if all he does is
rag on her being female in what HE thinks should be a man's line of work?

I have been to courthouses over the years - seems to me the women deputys
are just as capable as any other deputy. Also seems to me that if she
weren't, she would not have a job.

Also, as the JUDGE elected to turn off the alarm system in his court house
(he didn't want the public to feel like he was unaccessable) he may not have
died that day - perhaps none of the others would be either.

In any light, Nichols, not the guard, not the judge, not the other people
that were killed, is to blame for this crime. That point also seems to have
been lost on Doug. Guess the clouds must have passed below his throne for a
second and he missed all of that action.
