Thank you Deborah Gray! It's about time something was said! I don't yet live in Moscow yet, (Moving in June) but I don't have the picture of a harmonious town! I am actually French/American, (currently in Lyon) and to tell you the truth, the french debates on tv here sound better than v2020! I guess you'd have to have seen a French debate to know what I mean, but I normally can't stand listening to them.
I agree with Deborah: a little less criticism please!! It doesn't help when done like this!!

Could people just settle down and quit with the juvenile name calling? The genitalia? The veiled threats? The US vs THEM mentality?
WHAT does this have to do with our "vision" of Moscow? It certainly isn't my vision, it's more like a hideous destructive mantra being played over and over again! I wouldn't tolerate this behavior from my 6 year old!
And it really makes me wonder how this town can come together and accomplish anything for the common good without a cyber fistfight breaking out. This isn't a dialogue, or even a debate. It's like putting Bill O'Reilly and The Reverend Al Sharpton in a room with 34 pots of espresso and letting them monologue each other to death.
Have we nothing better to talk about? Something constructive? Oh no, those topics are mainly ignored in the rush to out-clever the latest nasty post.
Come on people, imagine if you were all in a large meeting room. Would this garbage be flying out of your mouth?
And I pity the poor fool who lectures me about using the delete key...

Faul,
you are totally out of control dude.
Me, I prefer to use my genitalia to torment
The hippy chicks at the coop.
Back to the point of your new posters though
Faul and myself are merely the initial point
Forces in the advance.
As ive said be warned
The majority of conservative and non conservative
Libertarians, anarchists, anti-Marxists, Machiavelliaists,
and regular guys who are completely fed up with the whiney
Socialist pap that oozes out of this board have put you on notice.
The revolution is over, your side lost. Be glad we are not putting
You up to the wall like you had planned to do with us.
We know who you all are; you have been observed, photographed,
And catalogued as to the degree of threat you posed.
Go back to your professions and leave politics to those who know
What they are doing.

Citizen Hansen,
And now your hat is in the ring.
To begin: a backboneless chest is quite normal. The backbone goes, ahem, in
the back. Perhaps even you wear one occasionally. See also: a sternumless
back.
You have crystallized the listwide correlation between genitals and courage.
And to be fair, at first I didn't see it.
Then it hit me: it takes far more courage to not use your genitals.
Cowards flip them around at the slightest provocation. Sort of like a
baboon's attempt at dominance. He may not be the sharpest knife (sorry,
crayon) but he sure has a set.
Which crayon are you, citizen? Burnt umber? That was my favorite, too!
But, I digress. Back to the genital thing.
It's this continuous drumbeat of institutionalized promiscuity that has
skewed society dangerously to the left. Today's youth don't hold fidelity,
love, and passion in the same regard as our generation, citizen. But that's
okay. The schools teach kids how to put condoms on cucumbers. You should be
happy with that.
Moral compasses just don't sell like they used to, citizen. At least not in
Moscow. And especially not on this list.
Proud to be a beacon of hope,
Faul Ottomaticks

I'm still trying to find out whether there is truth behind the claim that there were very few animals caught by the waves, that they somehow perceived (perhaps heard wave subsonics) and fled before the tsunami hit. None of the biologists and ethologists on my other lists could verify whether this was true or just something the news media dreamed up.
And also in the truth is stranger than fiction category, I heard the other day that research has supported the anecdotal evidence that dogs are capable to smelling and being trained to detect the difference between cancerous and normal cells. People have reported their dogs "alerting" on previously undetected tumors. Puts a whole new spin on the phrase "going to the hospital to get a lab test." Perhaps we could put those trained detection dogs that Bill London was asking about to an additional use?

This is an urban legend and the claim is false.
