J Ford and Other Visionaries,

Mayor Comstock’s comment came in the context of suggesting that some of the
concerns raised by neighbors of the proposed playfields site have been
legitimate, while others have not. As someone who supports the project but
has expressed a desire to work toward compromise, I fully agree. Don’t
forget that, as a neighbor of the pool and Mountain View Park, Mayor
Comstock can (and did) attest to the fact that the sound of kids having fun
is actually a good thing! I thought Councilman Jon Kimberling hit the nail
on the head when he stated--I am paraphrasing--that this is about our kids,
a cause worth sacrificing for. (I believe Mr. Kimberling's comment was
specifically in reference to irrigation issues, but this principle reflects
my thoughts on the entire project proposal.)
