Downtown Zoning is Moscow Civic Association Meeting Topic

A discussion about current zoning issues in Moscow's downtown will be the focus of the Moscow Civic Association (MCA) public forum on Monday, September 19, at 7pm at the 1912 Building. Everyone is invited to bring questions and concerns to the discussion panel which will represent various perspectives on the zoning issues related to New St. Andrews College downtown location.

Members of the panel will include Roy Atwood, President of New St. Andrews College, Mike Curley, local attorney, Rose Huskey, citizen involved in challenging NSA's property tax exempt status, Joel Plaskon,
Moscow's city planner, and Bob Greene, downtown merchant.

Panel members will comment on whether the zoning code should be modified or enforced as it is currently written regarding the location of public and private educational institutions in downtown Moscow. Following presentations by panel members, the floor will be open to
audience members for questions and comments.

The Moscow Civic Association is a non-profit citizen's organization that strives to improve the quality of life for Moscow residents. The zoning topic was chosen to further the mission of Moscow Civic Association, which is to inform community members about important local issues and encourage civic participation.
