[Vision2020] oil supply/demand

Dick Schmidt observes that "last spring break we paid
over $2.00 for gas in California and it is headed that
way here." 

I was in Los Angeles two weekends ago and didn't see
gas cheaper than $2.299. And the sad reality is that
public and non-motorized transportation simply aren't
feasible for the vast majority of residents there. 

On a related note, few things cause me to appreciate
Moscow (including our "high" gas prices) more than a
trip to sunny southern California.
