Auntie:
Yes, OK, laugh all you want, your humor is relentless, and much needed in
these strange times, but who wrote the song you say is so lovely, "Calling All
Angels," from the Jane Siberry album "When I Was A Boy?"
Not the grand k. d. lang.
The divine Siberry!
Great voices are all over the place but divinely inspired song writing is
rare.
And have you heard the albums "The Speckless Sky" "Maria" "Teenager" and
"When I was A Boy" in their entirety? Give it time, you will be converted. And
if not, well, you will at least exclaim: sui generis! Or something like that.
"the squirrel crossed the road
like a ribbon on a fan" - Jane Siberry, from the album "Teenager"
