Unfortunately for Pat's cause, all of the statements she quotes and then attributes to John Kerry are, in fact, well-documented Bushisms.  The third quotation, "One word sums up probably the responsibility of any governor, and that one word is 'to be prepared'" should have clued her in.  John Kerry was Lt. Governor of Massachusetts, but never Governor.  He went on, as most of us now know, to serve in the U. S. Senate.

Since Pat forwarded this message from someone and somewhere else, I'd be interested to know the source.  To (accurately) quote my late grandfather, they've clearly gotten it bass ackwards.

These quotes have been attributed to a number of people on the multiple sides of the political n-gram.

Perhaps, some V 2020 reader can give us their origin.
